Medical Emergency Service: tel. +45 7011 3131

Acute emergency: dial 112

If you need emergency medical assistance outside your own general practitioner’s opening hours, the medical emergency service phones are open between 4 PM and 8 AM on weekdays and 24 hours a day at weekends and on bank holidays.

The telephone number is the same wherever you live in the Central Denmark Region. Exceptions to this are the emergency medical services on Anholt and Endelave, where the islands’ own doctors provide emergency assistance.

REMEMBER to always call and make an appointment with the emergency medical service before you go to the clinic.

  • Who have suffered injury within the last 24 hours
  • Who are suffering from an acute, serious illness
  • Who have been seriously injured
  • With heart failure.

Patients are registered on arrival, and depending on their condition they will be referred to the waiting room or possibly to a ward. Some patients will be referred for examination by their own doctor of the Medical Emergency Service.

The condition of patients in the waiting room will be continuously evaluated with regard to priority and examination to ensure that patients are given the right treatment.
